Thailawforum interviewed Ed Mofrad CPA CVA MBA from US tax firm Mofrad Tax Services regarding US tax filing requirements for US expats and the new FACTA law.
Ed has an MBA designation and is a California Certified Public Accountant.
Additionally Ed was an expat living in Bangkok for four years and so has personal experience with expat tax issues.
Thailand is expected to assist the US tax authorities pursuant to an information sharing agreement with the US by the end of the year. Ed and his associates explain what FACTA is and the effect it will have for US expats in Thailand.
