The Thailand branch of Philip Morris has insisted that the accusation that the company under-declared import prices for cigarettes it bought into Thailand from the Philippines is wrong.
As The Nation reports, charges were brought against the company almost ten years ago, and the Department of Special Investigations probe has continued.

Branch manager Troy Modlin said in a press release that Philip Morris had done nothing wrong and he called into question Thailand’s “fairness, transparency and the rule of law.”
